48v 14.5Ah Battery with Samsung Cells
This is the newest version of the downtube battery and for once it is based more on function than form. This style of battery is significantly different (better) than any of its predecessors. Other down tube batteries were difficult to install as they had to be absolutely level. If, the battery was not perfectly level the battery would not easily slide on or off. Also, the downtube batteries often could not be attached without drilling into the frame and installing Rivnuts.
Ease of Installation
With this new battery the use of Rivnuts will not be needed on most bike frames. Nearly the entire bottom of the base plate is an area where you can connect to the existing water bottle holes on your frame. Another feature of this new battery style is that there is no USB port! Hurrah! This is more important than most realize. The USB port was a bad idea from the beginning. The USP port took up vital room in the battery case, was a point of ingress of moisture into the cells, and the small rubber cover never would stay in place. This new battery also features a better lock and charging port.
In my opinion, if you are ready to upgrade your battery, take off the old Hailong base on your current bike and put on this new downtube battery and base. It will be worth the extra work. The 48v 14.5Ah Battery with Samsung Cells is one of our overall best sellers.
48V 12.5Ah eBike Battery
If your frame does not seem to fit the Hailong eBike battery case, you may have to install a rivnut in order to stabilize the battery. You will need an rivnut installer to carry out this procedure.
This battery works with the BBS02 750 watt electric bike motor kit and the Bafang BBSHD 1000 watt electric bike motor kit.
